Audrey Valentine

I have worked on MadiTHON’s Executive Board as Digital Media Chair where I promoted events, made graphics, and designated posting on social media platforms. I had the opportunity to visit CMNH in Charlottesville, Virginia to see first hand where the fundraising goes. MadiTHON is JMU’s 12 hour dance marathon to raise money for CMN Hospitals. This position was not only a learning experience to enhance my social media skills, but a rewarding position to see a difference be made in children’s health.

I have created new social media concepts such as “Why I Dance Wednesdays”, surveying individuals on why they love to participate in MadiTHON, and “Story Sundays”, compiling and posting the stories of the miracle children MadiTHON fundraises for, to increase engagement and morale for members participating in the event.
