Audrey Valentine

I have received my Bachelors of Science degree in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Creative Advertising at James Madison University in June of 2023. Within my major, I have learned the basics of Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) to create content for projects and assignments. I have also learned the basics of video production from shooting to editing using high quality cameras and Apple software (GarageBand, iMovie) for editing. I have learned the ins and outs of advertising and marketing, which I am most interested in. My main goal with my major is to graduate with all the essential knowledge to succeed in my future endeavors.  

During my time at James Madison University, I have joined a sorority, Phi Mu, where I have had the privilege to be on the Public Relations Committee my freshman and sophomore year, later working up to be the Public Relations Chairwoman. I have also served on Madithon Executive Board, JMU’s 12 hour dance marathon in support for CMN Hospitals, an event held in the spring. I have also gained real life experience from my internship with SOS Children’s Villages US as a graphic design and social media intern as well as my assistant position in social media with Without Rhyme Nor Reason comedy tour. With these experiences, I have been able to further my understanding of social media and advertising in a hands on way.

I am from the DC Metro area, more specifically Burke, Virginia, with hopes to moving to a big city one day pursuing my dreams of working in the digital media/creative industry.
