After graduating, I wanted to find a creative project that allowed me to keep learning, building and creating outside of my day-to-day work. That led me to launch Orange Hunt Living, a lifestyle and community blog created for the Orange Hunt neighborhood in West Springfield, Virginia.
The idea behind the project is simple: bring the community together and make it easier for neighbors to connect, get involved and support one another. I write weekly blog posts covering local events, community happenings and lifestyle topics, while also maintaining the neighborhood’s events calendar.
One of my favorite parts of the project has been designing and developing the website completely from the ground up. Starting with a blank page and turning it into a fully functioning platform has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding — and it has given me the opportunity to bring together my interests in content, design, branding and digital media in one place.
